Hello from the absolutely stunning architectural city of Chicago!

This is my first adventure to Chicago and it blew me away with it’s endless concrete jungle, intricate architectural design, and undeniable culture. When discovering Chicago, you have the opportunity to see the city from the famous sky deck at Sears Tower, bat up to a baseball game, and go back in time to see where The Godfather was filmed and so much more. Perhaps one of my most favorite areas of Chicago was the financial district known as the Loop.

The Loop includes much of downtown Chicago and is the second largest business district in the United States. I would definitely recommend going early in the morning to this area as you can experience quiet streets with stunning backdrop
In amongst the financial loop, you will find the Fairmont Chicago.

The Fairmont Chicago could not be situated in a more convenient location. Steps away from Millennium Park, a short stroll to shopping districts, and a train ride away to Wrigley Stadium; Fairmont Chicago is a fantastic place to rest and recuperate after an exciting day of sightseeing!

When you enter the Fairmont Chicago, you are greeted by the locals who are beyond excited to share their city with you. Any questions, recommendations, or directions needed - they will go above and beyond.

Book Your Stay At Fairmont Chicago!
As with all Fairmont rooms, the beds are my absolute highlight! However, beyond the beds, the rooms at the Fairmont Chicago in particular take your breath away with their cityscape views. With a cozy sofa near the window, one could quite easily perch for hours while being enamoured with the architectural wonderland.

The beautiful classic luxury rooms at Fairmont Chicago provide you with all of the amenities you need or want combined with excellence in total comfort. It is an absolutely wonderful haven to put your feet up and reflect on your adventure city viewing day.
Fairmont Gold is one of my favorite amenity features of the Fairmont. The gold lounge offers you access to breakfast, light lunches, tea time pastries, canapes, and small desserts throughout  the day. It is a fantastic way to start, finish, and refresh during the day of sightseeing! Each day of the Gold Lounge has delicious new recipes to enjoy while you sit by the window in their cozy seats and watch the clouds roll by.

When entering the gold lounge, you will be welcomed with beaming smiles from the service team as they genuinely greet you as if they were your family welcoming you to a meal. The Fairmont standard of service experienced in the gold lounge is one that makes for a relaxing bite of food in a high class setting. It is truly an experience one must try!
After - quite literally- miles of walking, I would 100% recommend recovery at MYSPA located in the Fairmont Chicago.
MYSPA is a full service, full amenity spa featuring a eucalyptus steam room and relaxation lounge. It delivers an excellent experience and a wide variety of treatments such as massages, signature massage, Tuscan bouquet sugar scrub, and detoxifying wraps.

In my treatment, I had the privilege of experiencing the seaweed body wrap which felt so needed! Their seaweed mud wrap encourages detoxifying and circulation while replenishing your skin. If you are wondering if this treatment is for you, or even wonder what it entails - here is your breakdown:  This treatment starts with an application of organic seaweed mud, after which you are wrapped in blankets as the seaweed works its magic, resting for 20 to 30 minutes you take a warm shower to rinse all of the mud off, your experience is finished with a luxurious 30 minute relaxation massage to aid in further hydration and detoxification to your skin. Sounds nice right?!   I could not recommend this more as a perfect way to end your stay!
Chicago was definitely one of those cities that leaves you wanting more. I felt so privileged to be able to spend four days with Fairmont Chicago and I am most definitely already planning my next trip back.  If you are considering Chicago for one of your next destinations, give yourself at least 5 days to catch a roaring baseball game at Wrigley stadium, go for some deep dish pizza, stroll the financial district, take a walk on one of the great lakes, and sight see architectural monuments until your heart's content!
